Workflow guide

Manage your racket stringing business without spreadsheets.

A useful job record answers three questions: what needs doing, which setup was agreed, and what has been completed and paid. Keep those answers together instead of rebuilding them from messages and paper.

Start with the handover, not the spreadsheet.

For each incoming racket, record the customer, racket model, main and cross strings, tensions, quantity, due time, agreed price and any important notes. If several rackets arrive together, keep the per-racket details clear so a partial completion is not mistaken for a finished order. STRUNG keeps these fields with the job; its job workflow shows the intake and completion screens.

Make the next visit easier.

Save the customer's racket and string setup so you can check what they used last time. A history is especially useful when someone asks for “the same as before” but cannot remember the tension or gauge. Confirm the setup with them before copying it to a new job. See how the Player Portal connects to this record.

Separate completion from payment.

Mark the work completed when the rackets are done; record payment when it actually arrives. Those are different events. Review outstanding jobs and payments regularly rather than treating every completed racket as paid revenue. The shop walkthrough shows how a busy counter can use one record for handover and follow-up.

Move over in a manageable order.

Begin with one venue, a few regularly used strings, one customer and one job. Check your prices, quantities and printed output before entering a large backlog. The getting-started guide gives a five-step first run; existing data imports need separate scoping rather than an assumed automatic migration.

Which plan fits this workflow?

STRUNG Free includes unlimited restring jobs, up to 20 customers, 20 saved rackets and one venue. Pro adds more core-record capacity and business tools; Shop supports the multi-stringer workflow. Compare the current plan limits and features before choosing. Tournament Mode is a separate add-on.
