This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use STRUNG.

1) Scope

This policy applies to the STRUNG mobile application and any related services we provide (collectively, the “Services”). It does not cover third-party services you may access through the App (such as Apple, Google, or payment platforms), which have their own privacy policies.

2) Information we collect

A. Information you provide to us

  • Account information (such as name, email address, password or authentication token, and business/venue details).

  • Operational data you input or upload as part of using STRUNG, which may include personal data about your customers/players (for example: customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, racket notes, stringing preferences, job notes, venues, and job status/payment status).

  • Support communications (messages you send us, bug reports, and attachments).

B. Information collected automatically

  • Device and app data such as device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, and basic diagnostics.

  • Usage data such as screens viewed, feature interactions, and in-app events (only where enabled/configured by us).

C. Purchases and subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription, we may receive subscription status and entitlement information (e.g., active/inactive, renewal dates). We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple. If you use a third-party subscription service (e.g., RevenueCat), they may process identifiers and subscription events to provide purchase functionality.

3) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services (including saving and syncing your jobs, customers, rackets, venues, and inventory).

  • Process subscriptions, validate entitlements, and provide access to paid features.

  • Provide customer support, troubleshoot issues, and respond to requests.

  • Improve the App, including performance monitoring, debugging, and product development (for example via crash reporting and analytics, where configured).

  • Protect the security and integrity of the Services (fraud prevention, abuse detection, and access control).

  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4) Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the Services you request.

  • Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent fraud, and improve reliability (e.g., limited diagnostics).

  • Consent: where required for certain analytics or similar technologies (if enabled).

  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws.

5) How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as necessary:

  • Service providers (processors) that help us run the App (e.g., hosting, database, authentication, crash reporting, analytics, subscription management). For example, Firebase may process app data depending on the SDKs you use/configure.

  • Payment/subscription providers (Apple and/or third-party subscription infrastructure such as RevenueCat) to validate purchases and manage entitlements.

  • Legal and safety: if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (we will provide notice where required).

6) “Tracking” and advertising

STRUNG is not designed to track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising. If we ever implement tracking as defined by Apple (e.g., sharing identifiers for cross-app advertising), we will request permission where required and update this policy accordingly.

7) Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes:

  • Account and operational data is retained while your account is active.

  • We may retain certain records for legal, tax, compliance, and security purposes.

  • Backups may persist for a limited period even after deletion requests (typically [X] days) before being overwritten.

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; however, we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

9) Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.

  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

  • Request portability of your data.

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

10) Customer/Player data you upload (important)

If you use STRUNG to store information about your own customers/players, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to collect and share that information with us for processing in accordance with this policy (for example, providing notices to your customers where required).

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

12) Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” and, where required, provide additional notice in the App or via email.
